Jun. 29th, 2012 @ 05:04 pm Coming out fun!
I told people at work about Ellen yesterday. After looking at some of my pictures, the best and funniest reaction I got was from one of the women who didn't believe it was actually me, but was rather my head photoshopped onto a female body. When I said that it was actually Cindy Crawford she said 'really?' which made me laugh and happy that anyone could consider that even for a moment.
I think she believes me now.

A lot of this is that indefinable point when our desired self simply "is" us 24/7 and summarily becomes accepted as so.

It's WAY easier for others to accept a different from the older "us" if that gets introduced after we've fully melted both versions of "us" into one integrated centered person. And some of us may never even venture to go that far into incarnating as a public space reality.

To me, at much of my life's choice points- I weighed it comparable to how much risk/reward I'd accept. Choosing between merely being a facet of self, or that self completing a total incarnation and going farther?

Disbelief can be a compliment I suppose. I wouldn't tell anyone at my workplace, even if my job was safe-too many of them are the ignorant, barely literate type.

I'm sure a number of people were surprised. Congratulations.
